You know what you just did? You just gave a red blood cell the...JOB they needed. They knew they had a job of keeping you alive, and now, they're delivering that oxygen to your precious cells. They never rest, and are constantly being pumped out, getting carbon dioxide, oxygen, ever day of their lives, for about 4 months until their broken down into iron and bilirubin*, ready to spread their legacy to new cells. Take a moment and appreciate RBCs.

And platelets and WBCs- in fact, appreciate every cell you have. Even adipocytes. (Except cancer cells...obviously.)

*fun fact: this is what makes your pee yellow.
