I do believe it's a bolt-action with a large bayonet attached. So if you run out of ammo, just grab hold and thrust as hard as you can! Or swing, it's kinda like a halberd.

But be sure not to swing too much, your rifle's still mostly hollow metal and wood! Treat it nicely and it will safeguard your life. -Steel
