They are basically bionic wings, which are part of the armor itself, which are connected to the body through sensors and other sensitive mechanisms in order to read its impulses and reactions, that is, if Blake wants to go higher, or fly faster , these sensors respond "neurally" to your impulses and reactions, thus translating into actions of your armor.

It is as if they were just another limb on her, which he can control at will.
