Criticism is good. But some can be more harmful depending on the words.

Good criticism focus on both bad and good of the thing while providing positive feedback without accidentally being rude.

Blunt criticism if it makes you feel like you did something wrong, gets punch for it, and demotivate you even though it's true. It's a hit or miss for certain people.
