It's basically a sexual orientation in which a person feels sexually attracted to someone, ONLY after they've developed a close emotional bond with them. And it requires an emotional, but not necessarily romantic, connection before forming sexual attraction. It can be straight, gay, lesbian, bisexual, pansexual, or whatever the case it may be. It is unlikely to engage in casual relationships, in which case, Yuri might feel affected by Anastasia's beauty, causing him to develop a sexual attraction.
